How long does a full jaw dental implant treatment take? Fixed Options for missing teeth in upper jaw:

The missing teeth of upper jaw can be replaced with hybrid prosthesis or ceramic permanent teeth on implants in 3 days with new generation immediate loadable, single piece implants. We use basal implants (cortical implants). With the help of pterygoid implant cantilevers are avoided. As such we easily give 14 teeth by providing second molars also. Depending on the quality and quantity of bone we place 8 – 10 implants to give a full set of 14 teeth. By doing so, 2nd molars are also replaced, which help in very efficient and natural chewing pattern. In our time-tested technique of Teeth in 3 Days no bone augmentation or bone grafting is needed

Dental Implant Treatment Process

A dental implant is a titanium screw which replaces the root of a tooth. It is screwed into the bone under the gum. After the implant insertion in one stage protocol with patient’s bone, the impression for the fabrication of prosthesis is made, and later in a day trail for the bite, appearance checked, and next day prosthesis (fixed teeth) is fixed. In addition to crowns, implants can also be used to support fixed bridges, fixed dentures or detachable dentures (known as over-dentures).

1. Advice & information with implant co-ordinator

Discuss your requirements over the phone with an implant coordinator for advice and information on dental implant treatments and costs. Otherwise meet face to face; see our facilities and discuss and receive treatment options. After this invaluable introduction to dental implants, patients have a better idea of possible solutions and costs. This is general guidance only and does not replace the need for a clinical assessment

Like-for-like cost comparison

If you have had an implant consultation and been provided with a treatment plan, email us a copy and we will provide a ‘like for like’ cost comparison.

2. Dental Implant Clinical Assessment

In the dental implant clinical assessment with an implant dentist, oral health/general health is assessed. If the patient is a good candidate for implants, a dental cone beam CT (CBCT) scan is taken to evaluate the quality and quantity of the bone.

Following the consultation, a brief meeting with an implant co-ordinator will reveal the treatment costs and available times to book in your first appointment/s.

A formal detailed treatment plan follows, which includes a details  from the implant dentist, your treatment options and costs, risks and aftercare information.

3. Surgical Stage . Dental Implant Placement

Using the 3D dental bone beam CT (CBCT) Scan images, OPG to direct the placement and ascertain the type of implant to use, a titanium implant is carefully screwed into the bone under the gum

If deemed necessary, this stage may be preceded by the extraction of failing teeth and / or where tooth needs RCT or preparation of tooth for inclusion in the bridge.

4. Dental Implant Prosthesis Construction.
Immediately after the implant’s placement, impression for the prosthesis, jaw relation, assessment of speech and smile are recorded for the laboratory construction three important things:

Taking final impressions and colour matching against the adjacent teeth

Bite registration – ensuring that the occlusion (the bite) is comfortable

Try-in – trying in the new crown, bridge or denture – then sending any adjustments back to the laboratory.  Not required for all cases.

5. The Restoration

  1. Final fit – placing  and check the fit, and permanently cementing the prosthesis crown, bridge or denture.

For an optimum aesthetic outcome, we team up with highly skilled dental technicians to fabricate the crowns, bridges and dentures.

6. Aftercare

Your implant treatment plan doesn’t end when the crowns/bridge, prosthesis  are placed.
It is imperative that you follow an improved hygiene regime to maintain good oral health and help the longevity of your implants.
This means an improved hygiene regime at home following prescribed techniques, visiting a hygiene therapist at least every 6 months and returning on annually assess the implants, gums and hygiene levels.
